Mobile Storage Contents Insurance for Modern Operators
The Storage Protectors Program makes tenant contents insurance and container damage waiver insurance available to renters of mobile storage containers through participating storage operators.
Coverage is made available through enrollment under a master insurance policy issued by Aspen Specialty Insurance Company (the “Carrier”), which is solely responsible for all policy obligations, including the payment of covered claims. Both tenant contents insurance and container damage waiver insurance are forms of insurance provided under the master policy, not warranties or service contracts.
The program is administered by Complete Storage Insurance, LLC, a licensed insurance producer (License No. 3003811519; Arizona License No. 7343282; California License No. 3543966), which is responsible for offering, selling, and administering coverage in its capacity as a licensed producer.
Available coverages may include tenant contents insurance for personal or business property and container damage waiver insurance covering structural damage to rented mobile storage containers, mobile storage trailers, and mobile offices, subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of the policy. Cosmetic damage is not covered.
Where provided under the policy, tenant contents insurance may include coverage for property while in transit by road or rail to or from the insured storage location, including during loading and unloading, subject to applicable terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions. Transit coverage is generally limited to losses occurring within a specified distance of the insured premises and applies only to certain covered causes of loss, such as fire, windstorm, vehicle collision or overturn, theft of an entire storage unit, burglary, and damage occurring during loading or unloading. Longer-distance transit may be available subject to insurer approval and additional premium. Transit coverage does not increase the overall limits of insurance.
